Who is Aussie Pet Health Treats?

Aussie Pet Health Treats are manufactured by Dried & True Pty Ltd; who manufacture, distribute and supply natural, healthy and nutritious dried pet treats.

Aussie Pet Health Treats are manufactured in one of the largest pet treat drying facilities in Australia, located in Howlong, NSW. Our products are 100% Australian, manufactured by an Australian owned company with great access to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

How is the Product Dried?

The raw material is prepared and cut to size prior to the drying process. Products are then placed on specialised mobile stainless steel racks, and moved into one of the drying rooms.  The computerised jet-dryers are then programmed according to the particular product in the drying room. All products are processed and dried differently due to the variance in moisture content in each particular treat.

All products are subjected to a heat treatment of 68 degrees Celsius for 30 hours which is sufficient to destroy all pathogenic organisms (including salmonella).

The drying process is very important and monitored closely by our trained staff and Quality Assurance team, to ensure that the product does not cook, but dehydrates all the moisture out, making the product healthy and safe for pets.

Where is the Product Manufactured?

Our treats are manufactured in our new, modern, export registered plant in Howlong, NSW. All of our raw material is sourced from Registered Abattoirs across the east coast of Australia.

With a raw material collection network from over 20 of Australias top abattoirs on a daily basis, Dried & True can guarantee consistent supply of raw materials for production, that in turn guarantees the supply of our product to our customers.

Our close working relationship with these abattoirs guarantees constant supply and quality of raw material.

What is the Drying Capacity?

With six (6) drying units, we have the ability to dry a large quantity and volume of products. One dryer alone has the capacity to dry over 10 000 pig ears in 30 hours. Drying times differ per product and this is all set and controlled by PLC (Programmable Logic Control) computers.

Due to our technically advanced drying process, all of our products have a shelf life of in excess of 2 years. Therefore all packaged product is stamped with a "Best Before" date of two years post packaging.

Sate of the Art

Aussie Pet Health Treats are made by Dried & True P/L in a unique, State of the Art, drying facility located in Southern NSW.  All our products are air-dried, not cooked, in Australia’s most technicaly advanced, fully automated, drying and processing system.  As part of the development of our system we are installing a solar cell and heat bank to supply a base load over 3,000 kws of pure energy.  This means all product from Dried & True will have one of the smallest carbon paw prints of any dried treats made in Australia, or for that matter in the WORLD!!!

We don’t Import – you wont see “Made from local & imported product” on our pet treats because all of our raw materials is 100% Australian, sourced daily from the same farmers and meat processing facilities that supply your own supermarket or butcher.  Dried & True is 100% Australian owned by Aussies who understand what Aussie dogs love! 

We make it

We collect daily from over 25 registered meat processors in eastern Australia and have installed our own chilling systems at the processors to ensure complete freshness during transport and processing into our dryers. It also means we can select a large range of pet food products unavailable to other treats producers./p>

The daily collection allows full control of the raw material from start to finish and means we can fully guarantee the freshness and quality of all our dried pet treats – quality that gives the safest and most nutritious treats for your dog.

We don’t “manufacture” treats by adding grain, sugar or preservatives – our treats are made entirely from dried fresh meat and by-products, with absolutely no artificial additives.
